Another Idea
This might be a silly suggestion, if it is just say so. My feelings won't be hurt, I promise. We talked some this past Tuesday about some practical ways to share things as a community. Alan mention some good ones, (garden, Sam's Club, helping each other) and I meant to suggest one other. What about sharing books? Perhaps we could include a complete list on the VBCC website? I don't know . . . just a thought. It seems a bit silly for all of us to be buying books when someone in our community may own it already! Thoughts?

Bryan, that's a very good idea. Some of the books I have here are not "mine" but "ours" - bought as vbcc library books for us all to have. I need to get those together and make a list of those. I am totally open to sharing my books too - that would be very cool I think. We could come up with a way to list them on the site and for any of us to request to borrow them. We'll figure it out. Thanks for thinking of it. Sounds good to me, too. I'm actually planning to go through my bookshelves and put a bunch of them in a yard sale (if we ever have one). I'd be happy to let y'all go through them first and pick out what you want. And of course, any that I keep are eligible to be borrowed. :^) 2 Comments:
